Default JDM Gearing Sites

hey guys,

We are in the garage putting a 4G Prelude tarnsmission on a 5G Prelude. Come to find out we have a JDM 4G Tranny. I need ANY suggestions (minus taking the tranny apart and counting teeth) to figure out what the gearing is.

ARe there any site that any one know of? I know we normally talk ITR's here but this place knows more about JDM than others so help me out!!

Trey

ok, well I highly doubt that the trannies (JDM and USDM) have different FDs... If the prelude gearing gets any lower, it would tach like hell down the hiway..

Saying this though, a USDM 4th gen VTEC tranny has considerbly lower 4th and 5th gears then a 5th gen prelude tranny.. 140 is top speed for a 4th gen VTEC, rev limited, where a 5th gen tranny would hit around 150+

Yea we knew the 4g was tighter geared than the 5g.

Big question is, is the USDM 4G tranny gearing the same as the JDM 4G ratios . . .
