Dynoed this morning - 88 CRX Si

The car has 370,000km on it, the Si motor got tossed a year or 2 before i bought it in January. The motor in now is the JDM D15B Twin Carb that has been converted to the Si's MPFI. I've done no mods to other than +2 degrees timing. I'm quite pleased with the results.

Powerloss is only 13%, so hp at the motor is 110 and torque is 100.8 ft-lbs
I weighed the car on the way home, 2442lbs and the weight distribution is 60/40. That was with 1/4 tank and me in it - i'm like 320lbs. So 2120lbs i think is a little on the light side?

it's probably a d15b something that you got, like a d15b1 or another number,
I got a d15b, it's a 1.5 litter engine, with vtec, very surprizing engine, fast as hell. I haven't dinoed it yet but poeple tell me that i'm aroune 130 hp, I eat many 4 gen civic with d16z6 in.
I don't want to flame you though, but just to tell that you probably got another number after the b, BTW Quite impressive number for an Si. Very impressed, it mean that what we see in our stat is not so far of the real thing.
see ya

doesn't make a difference, all JDM 1.5 d-series motors are marked, d15b (doesn't matter if its a dual carb or sohc vtec or vtec-e, all are d15b)
also to gain more power on your d15b, switch to the Si cam, you defiantly will gain few horses, other ways is to go with the ZC header or d16z6 header (stock) 4-2-1
as far as D15B SOHC VTEC they usually put down close to 105-112whp and about 92-5lbs/ft of torque, to the wheels...with bolt on 120-125whp is can be easily achived.

I'm gonna do the mini-me over the summer - i hope. I read that if i use the d16y8 head gasket it'll up the compression nicely.
Oh i'll be losing weight quick enough at my new job, lifting a few thousand pounds of groceries a night will do that. but i'll probly only get down to 240 cause i'm 6'3"

dude, the biggest mod you could do for your car is to lose 150lbs.
Go on a diet, big guy!

hey hey, I was just kidding around. C'mon people, if he didn't have a problem with my post why are you guys getting all bent out of shape? Man, peeps are getting a little over-sensitive. Anyway, 94 hp after 370,000 kms is impressive. What's that, 200,000miles? The MPFI swap is worth around 7 or 8 hp to the wheels, or more. kewl.
oh yeah, how many miles are on the 1.5L?

I dynoed out at D.P.E. in toronto, their number is on the dyno pics.
Yeah guys I didn't really take offence to 91CivicHatchbackDX's comment. You see me 6'3" 320lbs getting out of the crx it's funny. Actually if you saw me you wouldn't think i was over 260, got a really big frame.
There is about 70,000km on the D15B.
370,000km = 231250miles.
It feels really quick to me, but i've been driving an 88 nissan pickup I4 4spd for the past 2 months. before that i had a 94 accord ex-r coupe I4 auto, it got stolen 2 weeks before christmas. I think it's the fact that i have all that torque right from idle and the car being so light.

hmmm, well that's an odd coincidence, my last automobile was an '88 Nissan Pickup 4x4. 5speed manual, V6, rust covering every inch of the bed! haha
Now, I'm 6'4" but a very light 185lbs. If your last car was a Nissan Pickup, I can saw say from experience that the CRX must feel like a cadillac in comparison! My Pickup (that's the actual name of the truck!) was a p.o.s. had no seat adjustment
It's quite a sight seeing my lanky a$$ climbing out of a tiny civic hatch, too!
