OT: Quick update on E-town 1/4 mile today
A friend of mine who has a GSR with usual mods (I/H/E, adj cam, spec B's, etc. sorry don't know the full details) just did a 13.9
There is another R down there with carbon hood. Don't know his times. I'll try and post more info later.

The ITR was probably me - PY with a C/F hood and Gunmetallic Slipstreams. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the GS-R. I would have liked to have taken a look at it. Best time of the day for me was a 14.2 @ 96 MPH. Was your car down there as well, because I didn't see another R? I must not have been paying very much attention if it was. Hope to see you down there next time.

Hey whats up, this is anthony! Nice time 14.2 I,ve been trying to hit that for a few runs now. How did you launch, what psi in front tires? By the way I'm going down to Atco tomorrow call me before 10am if you can make it down.
What's up Anthony. For the 14.2 the front tires were at approx. 26 lbs. and the rears were at 45 lbs. As for the launch - revs around 4000, then had the clutch off the floor closer to engagement once the first amber lit. After the third I just feathered the clutch and fed gas until it grabbed. I still managed a pretty lousy 2.329 60', so there's definately a little more left in the car with a better launch. The other problem today was the tires breaking loose on the 1-2 shift, and that cost me a little bit of time as well waiting for them to hook up again. Still, I was happy with the day.
BTW - Atco is going to be tough because I have quite a bit of work to get done for Monday. I might head down to E-town again one Wednesday once I find a warm night. I'll let you know.

Forget about Atco it looks like rain. and as for the 1-2 shift my tires always break. do you think you will be able to make the nasa-xing on march 10th at the giant stadium parking lot?
I wasn't there. The guy with the GSR (Charlee) called me right after he did a 13.9. He may have went faster because the 13.9 was with a full interior and 3/4 tank of gas.
See you on March 10th.

I have a red 95 GSR and was at E-town this saturday march 2nd. Running full body, full interior, with stuff in the trunk, spare and jack, a bit more than 3/4 of a tankfull, and street tires, I ran a 13.9 @ 97 MPH. i was shocked, and I was able to make additional runs of 14.0 with my worse time being a 14.8 while getting wheel hop on a horrible launch....
i set my rear tire pressure at 40psi, fronts at 21psi, stiffened my rear shocks to the max and just left everything in my car as is. My car weighed in at 2580 w/o me in it.
13's or bust
I run a 13.9 @ 97 with street tires and freak out....... i'm a happy camper.
