Default SOHC ITBS , questions

ok so a guy in a fourm im on posted this


D- SERIES ITBS (MADE FROM GSXR 600 TBS) - 200$$ OBO




so im wondering how well do these things work i donno to much about them . are they hard to tune? and do they increse hp that much . i know its eyecandy :D but is it relyable for a dalily driver? just wondering any info is greatly apprecshiated

Equal length, equal spaced runners it looks like. Built on a cut OBX manifold (how I build mine).

The design is alright, but the execution isn't all that great. The JB Weld'ed brake booster ports won't hold up as long as a screwed in fitting. There are no velocity stacks, the TPS is kind of ghetto rigged, the setup uses 38mm throttle bodies, and it's abnormally long.

$200 isn't bad. It needs some work but for $200 you can deal with it.

dont i want a longer runner seeing as how my engine is lower compression?

can i tune this myself or no?

If you have the equipment to tune with yes but if not there a little bit on the rich side on a stock ecu
