Default Vibration while idling

Just had a b16 swapped into my hatch... Everything seems to run great, but the car vibrates a lot when I idle. Not a ridiculous amount, but it's noticable and not smooth. What could I do to smooth this out?

Also, I get a good amount of steering wheel/gas pedal/shift **** vibration when I'm accelerating right around 40-55.. It smooths out at higher speeds. Any advice on that?

which mount kit did you use? The lip on the rear crossmember needs to be bent downward sometimes just under the rear mount. If the rear mount sits on the lip of the crossmember it will give a nice vibration.

Went out and checked the rear mount.. It looks like it clears, but since I didn't pull anything and I just kinda peered down from the side I can't be certain. Any other suggestions?

What kind of vibration would I feel if it didn't clear? Would it be really pronounced and harsh? This vibration just feels like it is idling really low maybe. I can give it some gas and it smooths out. Also, seems like after I run the car for a while it tends to be smoother...

... I don't think vibration like that is normal. Especially when it smooths out if I give it gas.

welcome to hasport. my hcps have little to no vibration. Check the crossmember better though. When you downshift or get on it hard does it clunk any?

Mmk, the vibration from 40-55 was from underinflated tires... The guy that swapped my engine also swapped my brakes and threw some 16s on there but didn't pump them up to their correct psi. It feels much better now with just slight vibration that I'd expect from this kind of swap. The idle thing though feels like it may be idling too low on the rpms? I don't have a tach installed, so I can't tell. Also, when I start up the car in the morning the first time I hit the gas the pedal sticks, and after that it's alright. Shrug. Any advice?

When i first swapped a b18a it did the same low idle your talking about, then i realized the tps sensor was unplugged so i plugged it in and while i was there took off the eacv and cleaned it really good. Fixed all my idle problems.
