195/55-15 tire size, is there any other option?
For snow tires, I use a set of 14x5.5" EX steelies and run 195/60-14s. For summer tires, I run the stock 15x6" alloys with 205/50-15s.

umm, you want taller, narrower tires for snow.
you'd do fine with a 185/60 also

That's the stock size for all the other '96-00 Civics with 14" wheels, so I don't see any problem with it.

I actually put 185/65R15s on my GSR to make it less noisy on trips a I take in the winter. BTW i am ski instructor that drives no matter the conditions. the skinny the tire the better.
