Default cluster problem

well a couple days ago it rained and i forgot to put up my window. well i just noticed my tach is off now like it will bounce of rev limiter sometimes at 6000, 6500 or bout 6800. could the wiring be wet? could the tach be screwed? what should i do???

The tach flies up to 6000? or your motor is going to 6000 and no more?

So are you saying the tach moves inconsistently from what the engine is doing?

ok when i get on my car it looks like the tach is moving quite a bit slower than wut it should be. then it will bounce off rev limiter around 6000-6800. the speedomoter is right on with the speeds but the tach is off after it getting wet??? wires new tach wut???

i think its just a wiring problem.. well thats what my problem was when i used to have my EG. what i did was gave it away and gone with a stock si/ex cluster. my friend put it in his car and it runs fine.

it also does it when i rev it up it wont go much past 6500. and my temp gauge wont go much past the mark right above the c. and i unplugged the wrong fuse the other day and it belonged to the srs and i plugged it back in and fuse was ok but srs wont go off now. is this all wiring problems??? so if i get a new cluster will the tach work or am i gonna have to rewired the tach??? if i need a new cluster which one besides stock looks best and is prob. easiest??? tia

Is this an oem or aftermarket tach?

It would also help us if you'd use complete sentences and punctuation. What and how wet did it get? Was there water in the cluster? Is this the original cluster or was it swapped in? Help us to help you.
