I had an intermittent problem with the "S3" light blinking at ignition turn on, resulting in a no start condition. If the engine did start, 3rd gear was the only available forward gear. I purchased new lock control solenoids for the transmission, however once I disconnected the negative battery terminal and the alternator sensing fuse then reconnected both, the problem seems to have gone away.
