ok ive been thnkin about doin this for awhile BUT only problem is the chrome. i seen the jdm black housing headlights and i wanted to black out mine. i kno how to take out the lense and all taht junk but only thing is i dont want to rip off the chrome from the inside(part where i dont wanna paint) if i mask it im afraid i might rip it off. i heard using vasaline would work. after im done painting it just wipe of the vasaline when the paint is dried. but i dont really want to use vasaline.........any suggestions???

 

just use the 3m blue painters tape, it wont take off the chrome

 

when i did my 93 accord headlights, i just used a piece of cardboard to block the reflective part on the back so that i could spray the sides, any overspray on the back i just used some thinner to take it off, there was a lot of overspray but the thinner didnt take off any chrome and it is still shiny, the thinner didnt even dull it really
