Car won't start!!!
Yesterday i was backing out of my driveway and I started my car up and started backing up, and it just died. I replaced the dist. cap, and the rotor. But however it still turns over like it wants to start but won't. I took a plug out and had my bro try to start it and I still get no spark to the plugs. Any ideas? I kind of need my car up and running before wed because I am supposed to replace my head gasket...
Oh i forgot to add that now i have noticed a weird humming comming from what seems to be below or around my intake manifold. It humms very lightly like when u prime a car after u change a fuel filter. But there is still gas getting pumped into the cyl.

my friend had the same problem in his EG... he had been messing around and pressing on the gas when the car was not started ... i dont know if that has anything to do with it but maybe if you did that before it started that could be the reason.. or maybe there is some gas that hasnt been burned yet that is clogging or something? i dont know if that could be it tho

Check the fuel filter? He just said he wasn't getting spark.
I'm willing to bet you have a bad ignitor coil. Its located inside the distributor and this happens all the time. If you have a spare distributor from the same OBD as your motor, just swap it and you should be good. A new one is between 60-80$ depending on where you go.
If for some reason that doesn't fix it, check the ground at the back of the motor, above the thermostat housing. If that isn't a good ground, you won't get spark. Make sure it isn't loose.
