I'm about to reinstall my ITR head after some machine work. The Helms manual that I have doesn't say anything about replacing the 10 head bolts. I've heard from some that they need to be replaced, others say no.
Can I reuse my old head bolts? They only have 36K miles on them.

Did you just rebuild to stock specs or did you do some internal mods. If you went really high comp and decent cams, ARP head bolts wouldn't hurt, otherwise if you built back to stock, the stock bolts should be ok.

Besides a port and polish, it's all stock.
one of my exhuast valves was burnt and stealing about 35 horses and it was running like poo..... so off to the machine shop it went. I'm on a budget (aren't we all) and I need to get this back together affordably. OEM gasket kit was about 200 bucks by itself. Who knows how much the machine shop is going to charge.
New bolts would be an extra 100 bucks. If I don't need to spend it on bolts, I could by gasoline

you can get away with it once no problem. hell, i'd use them 2 or 3 times if on a strict budget. If you do purchase, don't waste money on OEM, AEBS studs can be had for just a bit more.
