NEED HELP!! Brake issue
I'm taking delivery on a crx tommorrow and it fires right up and everything. the problem is that the car has been sitting on the street for about 2 monthes and the rear disc brakes seized. the guy told me he tried to break them loose by driving but all that happened wat it did an e-brake burn out. my question is does anyone know how to break them loose without using wd40 or liquid wrench? is prying at it a bad idea? any help would help me out thanks.
you don' t need to break them loose, you need to fix whats wrong with them.
take the back wheels off and hammer the drums off, prolly need new wheel cylinders, shoes, and drums

the problem is that they are rear discs. i had it happen to my last crx which was an 88 hf w/ rear drums and i did that but im not sure how to do it with rear discs since this would be my first car with rear disc brakes
oh okay i'll try puttin it in reverse and i'll see what happens. thanks ....any other suggestions just in case that doesnt work?
What's wrong with PB blaster? I say coat that thing with it and give it a good whack or two with a heavy rubber mallet.
After you get it going, you will probably want to hit it with some brake cleaner to get rid of most of the PB.
