I am 8 year experinced automotive technician ASE master certified and looking to leve my job at an acura dealer and go into business for myself, I want to open a honda/acura proformance shop on long island. I just want to get some feedback on who would be interested and what services you want .

When I start it (planning on sometime between march 06-may06)and I am going to open as a repair and proformance shop and phase into total proformance . I would like to do all aspects of raceing drag and auto-x, eventually get a dyno, alignments, crate motors, and any other proformance setups and repairs.

Please post your feedback good or bad I would really like to know if there is a market for this on long island ?

please just dont be like speedworld concentrate on motors and not body kits or sound systems, build something of your own and show it at like DPA or nathans in oceanside (if its still on) build a reputation man thats what its all about show evry1 what u can do,

 

Thanks man thats exactly the plan I want to focus on all a types of raceing drag and Auto-x setups I have huge ideas and I am planning to build a CRX or 90's civic . '

I am thinking of maybe the 12's on the stock bottom end or something like that , that would be difficult to do to show my skills I haven't decided what yet but I don't plan on starting the business untill march06

Im in Connecticut and there isnt much for tuning shops around here, so something like that would be nice cuz NY isnt too far,along with everything else a shop does, all round car maintenence and stuff...
