install on an h22a into 1990 accord
hey im tryin to drop a jdm h22a into a 1990 accord, and im havin trouble gettin the motor in. the pulleys on the drivers side are hitting the mount bracket, what and how will i need to do to get the motor mounted up? i know that the trans mount must go under the bracket then come up into it, but that is what is causing the problems because to tilt the motor to do that the pulleys are hitting. any suggestions would help!!
get on http://www.cb7tuner.com and search for h22 swap they have a manual written for that swap.
ANY INFO ON WHAT TRANNY MOUNT TO USE FOR THE H22A TRANS LSD??? HAVIN SOME TROUBLE WITH THAT, DO I USE THE STOCK TRANS MOUNT FROM THE OLD MOTOR OR THE TRANS MOUNT THAT CAME WITH THE NEW TRANS???
Am I getting this wrong or did you start this swap with out doing and research. I did this swap doing all my research a month before the swap and I had no problems. Your going to want to use the accord tranny mount but your going to have to drill and tap 2 holes. You also have to take out the 2 studs that wont match up. If you take a look at how the accord mount should fit you will see the two holes I'm talking about.
