Summit Racing carries a brand called "DNX" (Dynomax's sport compact label). They sell a 2.375" O.D. (~ 2.25" I.D.) mid-pipe, the one after the cat and before the tailbox section. A little smaller diameter than what you were quoted for, but much cheaper. Stainless and bolt-in, too.

the obx is ok too, its stainless and polished nicely. i have installed many of them over the past 5 years with no problems
