my car was running fresh with no issues prior to me changing the spark plugs, after i changed the plugs i took my car out for a spin around town car was riding fine no idle issues or anything. So on the way home I was at a stoplight and decided to launch on it so i took off launchED in 1st when i shifted to 2nd my car dies, so I pull over to the side and open the hood to ck the wires, wires are ok and secure so i go and tried to start the car again and it just does'nt turn over. I was on a hill so strolled the car down the hill for a running start and got it to start but it ran like crap it sounded like a wrx so i thought to myself **** i blew a piston,BUT THERE WAS NO SMOKE AT ALL, so i got home pulled the plugs out and they were all black no grey whatsoever , I have msd 6a with blaster coil, now its obvious i'm no expert so i need some help what could this be ??? and my plugs were gapped to .28...........
(my mods are ls-vtec turbo open deck sleeves 84.5 pistons gt35 turboO

 

Ignitor on the Dist. is know to go out for some reason when using high powered coils on some cars. you may have blown your ignitor.

what plugs? if your not using the NGK plugs then your most likley going to have issues. I used to use the bcpr7es-11 plugs gapped to .028 - .030 myself.
