Default ITR rear sway+rear lower tie help

I was wondering what lower tie bar would fit with the itr rear sway with a bsq/beaks kit. I've heard most lower ties don't fit without minor modifications(washers). Does anyone know which lower tie would bolt right on?

The ITR lower tie bar is ITR specific and won't fit unless either you replace your subframe with an ITR one or you happen to be good with a welder.

D'oh! Misread the post.

One of my good friends got the Password bar to work without any drama (can't remember if he used any washers or not though).

I thought about using a skunk2 or benen. But i'm not sure which of those two would fit.

I'm assuming you had to get longer bolts?

I had a benen itr sway bar kit, you need to use a spacer and longer bolts.

IMO, i would get a comptech subframe wont tear out..

i had the itr for over 2 years...ran somewhat hard... few events comptech is #1

The easiest solution is go to http://www.beaksproducts.com/ and order their subframe reinforcement kit. This will allow the use of both a ITR sway and the Beaks rear lower tie bar. It looks sick as hell and is an easy solution. Only downside is $$$$$

Well it would be a good idea too. If you're going up to a 22mm rear sway it wouldn't hurt to reinforce the subframe. Not to mention it makes adding a rear lower tie a lot easier. But if you want to be dificult.......

I'm with SilverDc2. Have you considered the Comptech bar? It's pretty sweet. Machined/cast aluminum with anti-swayze bar mounts. I bought one for my DC2 after reading that some people were still getting subframe tear even with Beaks/BSQ kits. I've just been too lazy to install it. I still have the BSQ on and it's holding up (only 10k miles).

I bought my bar from Ebay from Acura of Escondido. They still sell them: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

The other thing about this bar is it has a groove in it to house the abs sensor wire that loses their bracket mounting spot to the Beaks/BSQ kit. I highly recomend it!!!
Oh, you can also get it with their adjustable sway bar but it's pretty expensive and comtech says it won't fit some aftermarket exhausts. A moot point since already have the ITR.

I already have a 22mm itr sway, but from what i've read the comptech lower tie's discountinued? oher than the link you just sent. IMO comptech's stuff a little too steep for me, i guess the highest i'm willing to go for a lower tie is like 85-90

I hear you on the steepness of their price. And I don't want to get on a 'you get what you pay for' soap box rant. But like I said, some people were still losing their subframes with BSQ/Beaks kits. That concerns me because to replace the subframes will be VERY expensive. On the flip side, you could replace them with ITR subframes and then that would be the last time that happens....

My 2 cents... don't spend it all in one place.

yea everyone has that same saying, and plus i've read a lot of incidents with people ripping apart their subframes.
Do you guys think the JIC magic/ passwordjdm tie bar works well with bsq/beaks kit?

The SPOON rear lower tie bar works with the ITR rear sway bar, with either the BSQ or Beaks kit, I think all you need are longer LCA bolts.

Is it me or does the spoon lower tie look exactly like every ebay lower tie bar?

Hey, quit making fun of the underside of my car!

Yes, that is my car... I installed my ITR sway bar using the Beaks kit... go figure, the Beaks lower tie bar works without any washers or modification.

ok i gave up on trying to figure out what fits and what doesn't, i PMed the bsq guy to gimme the skinny on what i can and can't use. I would get the beaks lower tie, but IMO it's ugly as hell, and we all know the lower tie's just for looks

i know for a fact that the JIC-MAGIC bar will not work in conjuction with the JDM ITR rear sway with BEAKS reinforcement kit. just use the BEAKS rear lower tie bar.

I considered the Comptech sway/tie combo, but I heard reports of the endlinks used on the Comptech swaybar were a weak point.
