Default foglights retrofitted into bumper lights

has anyone done this or know if it would work right? I'm thinking of doing this for my 97 accord.

I think that I would explore other options, the lense for your signals are not designed for a high wattage bulb appl. Like you said, it would probably melt the housing. Besides that, you would'nt get a beam.....the light would be refracted everywhere but where you need it. You could retrofit a thin foglight onto the lense opening, and drill the new housing to accept a small turn signal bulb though.....sounds like a lot of work, and even then you would'nt be able to see the signal blinking when the fogs were on.

my idea was to retrofit a smaller foglight into the side of the lens, and still keeping the signal bulb in there. But doing this I guess your right about not being able to see the signal light.

A friend of mine put 35 watt bulbs into the bumper lights & they melted within 15 minutes or so. You'D be better off to try something else.
