1985 CRX Opinions
recently i talked to a friend and he told me he doesnt know how safe the frame would be with a GSR motor in it. another guy at my local shop has a 1990 CRX (not sure what motor) but its turbo'd and with hella power.... anyways, he was on the dyno and his frame twisted about 3-4 inches. i could get all new tie bars and a full cage...
what do you guys this i should do?
1) say **** it and look for another project? (i have a daily driver and im not in a hurry to get a project going)
2) go on with the CRX project!

They deal with Gen 1 mainly, probably be your best bet for information regarding Gen 1 specifics.
No idea what the rest of your post is really asking for.

I had a Gen1 we but a dohc zc in, and it did fine.
You may have to reinforce the frame rails, or beef the crossmember, etc.. but I say go for it.
