Default Would a chipped CRANK PULLEY cause vibration at high rpm?

Getting a lot of vibration, especially at high rpm. Could it be the chip in my crank pulley. Thanks (searching didnt really help this time)

If youve ever balanced a set of tires and wheels youd know this one.

Yes, a small chip can do ALOT at high RPM.

harmonic balances are not good, that is to say, any time u rev car it needs to be perfectly balanced the higher RPM u go the worst the balance will be to bearings/crank which is not good

get a new one

my old da integra had a mean chip out of the crank pully but it never rattled or viberated. as a matter of fact it still has the same crank pully on it and the new owner drives the hell out of it. neither of us have had any probs out of it.

This is a H22. The balance shaft has never been touched to my knowledge. It is swaped into an Accord. How often do those things go bad? Is it routine maintance to change it like a timming belt?

Well some people say yes, others no. It seems to me that it would make a difference. What about the balance shaft belt. Would you know for sure if something went wrong there? The car is fine until 6000 rpm. Any more feedback or suggestions?

yeah...it would not create vibration...

the ones who would take the hit would the the main bearings though. As LSVT3K 91 C1V1C sayd
****.. over tightening your belts will **** bearings up..
