Default engine damper? effectiveness?

I have a b17 swapped into a civic and turboed. When it revs high the engine moves quite a bit. All the mounts are good, they are stock but not worn out or anything.

I was wondering if an engine damper would help reduce the forward/backward movement that occurs on acceleration and shifting?

thanks for any advice

Ive heard it will absorb some shock but will remain a little jumpy. Keep asking around on buildups

do you think the stock mounts will break? I mean are they designed to flex that much?

well i know the aftermarket mounts make it rattle like a bitch too...

you really think the adjustable piston-stytle damper will make the car rattle real bad? then engine doesnt vibrate at all right now, it just kinda moves under acceleration due to the torque u know...

I think i was wrong..

*
Greatly improved off-the-line acceleration
*
Reduced wheel hop
*
Improved vehicle stability
*
Reduced shock loads on driveline components
*
Smoother shifting
*
Reduced wear on exhaust system joints
*
Less vibration transmission to the driver compared to polyurethane motor mounts.
*
Less shock load, compared to torque straps and chains.
*
Drifting – helps reduce shock loads when wheels gain traction.
*
Reduces motor movement – decreases the chance of motor parts rubbing against the hood and frame.

get both, motor mount inserts and the engine damper.

I have the mounts but not the damper....yet.......

The mounts would help make the damper not ruin anything cause the motor will move less.
