Is it possible to use a b18 block when the complete motor was under water?

i would at least take out the oil pan, make sure everything is dry and clean; reoil.

Yes i know thats what i would do to is change oil and ect but iam asking can i use the complete block because. i know its not hydrolocked or nothing it just got submerged under water.. during the storm i just want to know if it is safe to use..

Personally, I would do a complete tear-down and have it vatted. Salt water is not good for soft metal like bearings.

But I am pretty **** about stuff like this. I dont know what kind of insurance you have, but I bet they are rubber stamping claims for anything hurricane related right now.
