I was about to say you good torque across your power band but then I noticed the graph numbers... where is the rest of the graph? the one below 4k? Having a whole dynograph is important for a baseline.

btw, you should have had the guy go to your redline to see where power drops off.

remember, don't rely on peak numbers... look at the whole curve.

thats is normal for gsr baseline because i remember mine was the same thing on the first run when it was not tuned...after all the bolt ons and tweaking the vafc, i gained a few...so dont be disappointed or anything, that is normal for gsr

yea, it's about what i expected. i was hoping for 160+ though... of well. another gsr there today dynoed 159/118. its just nice to know where i'm starting off at. the other car had a vafc btw, making better use of his bolt ons.

Wow..I just had mine put on the dyno after a port/polish and 3 angle valve job. With an intake, JG Edlebrock intake manifold, dc sports 4-1, racing cat,2.25" piping w/exhaust, and a chipped ecu vtec kick in at 5500 redlines at a lil over 9k...But i put the same damn numbers! WTF!? Am i doning something wrong here. Oh w/a 50 shot it put 198 to the wheels but its consistant till 8k rpms and doesn't drop.

you need some better cams. Intake Manifold doesnt do that much without cams. try some ITR or I'd go with the New Skunk2 Pro Series Cams.

they say like 22 HP GAIN.

Some people like to know how well there efforts to gain power and torque are paying off, but I agree, if it isn't on the same dyno, kinda hard to compare.

i guess. but when you have nothing to actually "tune" seems like a waste of change

it was a dyno day. dyno rates are way lower, i figured it'd be worth it to see where i was at.

sound pretty good. mine back in the day hit 160hp/125tq with:

-cheapo short ram intake and filter
-dc 4-1 jdm header (2.5" collector) to 2.5" cat to 2.5" crimp bent to fart can
-skunk manifold
-fields vtec "tuning"
-95 del sol vtec ecu with hyperducktuning chip for bolt ons

those are some good numbers, especially the trq. i've got a sk2 intake mani in my closet and then i'm gonna get some sort of tuning, then hopefuly i'll be mid 160's with just under 130 trq

My GS-R dyno'd at 163.6/124 with an Iceman CAI and a DC JDM 4-1 straight pipe exhaust with a test pipe. Everything else was stock. Since then I've added a Blox intake manifold, I'd like to see what numbers I have now.

That's a pretty healthy GSR, with a CAI you'd probobly put down around 160 WHP
