The Kumho Ecsta ASX is an all-season tire. If you drive your tires some of the time on snow and ice, then they might be a good choice. But in California, unless you drive to the mountains a lot to go skiing, you're better off choosing a summer tire, not an all-season tire like the ASX. A summer tire will perform better in moderate to warm temperatures, on both dry and wet pavement, than an all-season tire.

Your car came with 165/70-13 tires stock. 195/60-15 is WAY too big. Get a 195/50-15 tire.

There are a lot of good 195/50-15 summer tires in the $60 range, and one GREAT choice - the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. This is arguably the very best street tire on the road today, as good as super expensive tires like the Bridgestone S-03 and the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. In user reviews on the Tire Rack site, the F1 GS-D3 ranks number 1 out of 23 top-of-the-line tires. The 195/50-15 size normally sells for $83 at the Tire Rack, but right now (through October 8) you get a $75 gas card when you buy a set of four, so it's like getting them for $64 a tire. That's an incredible deal because you're getting the best tire around, while paying about the same amount as a budget performance tire like the Yokohama ES100 ($59) or the Kumho Ecsta SPT ($58) or the Toyo T1-R ($60), tires that are great tires for the money but whose performance isn't on a par with the Goodyear. So get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 before October 8, while this special is available.
