96 accord, what year h22a fits?

I'm with him; it'll be easier to spend a bit more money for an h22a7 from a 5th gen then buying one from a 4th gen and doing an OBDII-OBDI conversion.

there was an OBDI version of the H22a1. that came in 97-98 preludes in the US. the H22a4 came in the SH models from 99-01. both these would be OBDII, and would be compatible with your current emesion setup.
