Just wondering if someone could tell me the difference between the Si and Ex model for those years....I thought they were basically the same but some people tell me there are some differences in the engine. Thanx

 

no difs in the engine....the si's got a sunroof and rear discs I think

 

My EX has a sunroof and Rears discs. I think the Differnce was that the Si was only available in the US as a Hatchback. Oh by the way in Canada The Civic EX was sold as the Civic Si. How do I know? It says it in the manuel that came with my car.

 

exactly right, and the EX only came as a sedan model in Canada (also had the EX-V sedan which came with the Si engine).

 

Yours came with rear discs? What year is yours? They didn't come out of the factory like that though right, cuz I have a 94 Ex coupe with moonroof but no rear discs...So basically, the Si coupes of this model that I've seen are from Canada and the hatchbacks that are Si are the same as the Ex, but in hatchback form? and had rear discs?

 

I think they have different 5th gears.

 

US models:
Civic EX came in 2 and 4 doors- rear drums unless you had the EX W/ABS- it has rear discs. Si was HB with rear discs.

 

depends on how you are comparing the 2... in the States, the Si was only availible in hatchback form and the EX in coupe and sedan... all 3 body styles have the D16z6 engine (SOHC VTEC 125hp)... in Canada, i believe the Si was in hatchback and coupe form and the EX in sedan...
