if that timing belt doesnt say honda or isnt made out of kevlar, i wouldnt buy it. if there is one part on our cars that i would say dont be cheap on, it would be the timing belt. everything else, go for it. timing belt.. not such a good idea. just buy an oem honda belt. that way you dont have to lay awake at night and wonder if your next drive will involve your valves hitting your pistons.

their responce was: "timing belt by either GATES or Contitiect (german company), same exact as OEM spec material but awe feel a little stronger."

are those good companies? how good does this sound?

i know gates used to be "the name" in belts and hoses when american cars reigned supreme, so it's probably ok. i dunno. it's your car.

Its a decent gasket belt kit. can you get it w/o the timing belt? As others have said, dont run anything but OEM or race ready.

$175

I got all of those parts about 100€'s. And all OEM.

Wouldnt trust anything else than OEM on such important thing like timing belt.

Don't skimp on the timing belt, what ever you do. Its like a bullet proof vest, would you buy one off ebay or one from a license dealer .

Everything else you can by from anyone, if a water pump breaks coolant will leak out, no big deal.

If a timing belt breaks, well your engine is pretty much toast.
