Default stagnant oil pressure - good or bad?

someone is selling the HAMP green oil filters for a pretty good deal over in the classifieds and one of the selling points is that they keep oil pressure stagnant. is this a good thing? if so, why?
thx.

that's what i'm kinda wondering myself still! i'm guessing the usage of "stagnant" means that the oil will not be flowing as well thru the filter? but that would be a bad thing i think...

probably means it has a anti-drainback valve so oil wont drain back into the pan when the engine is off

check this site- it gives detailed info on most filters including the HAMP
