What do you typeR owners use on your dash to clean? I just usually use a damp cloth. Do any of you guys use Armoral or something else.?
Nothing...I've got at least 6 months of dust on it right now.
P.S., when I do clean it, I just wipe it down with a damp cloth.

Any wet closth. Once a year I'll use Armor All to brighten it up a bit. Just make sure it's not sunny out because the armor all makes the dash shiny as heck. It give alot of glare.
mother's makes this thing that is like armor all except it does not leave it shinny, that is what i use, i am not at home, i'll post the name later. i hate it when it's all shiny can't see **** when the sun comes out. But as everyone else said a wet rag will work.
i wont suggest putting armor all on the dash if you live in s.cali, or any other place with lots of sunshine unless you have a good pair of sunglasses.

I would use pretty much any brand of vinyl cleaner other than Armor All. It leaves a very bright (unnaturally so) initial shine but it disappears in days. Also, the are several outstanding class action lawsuits against Armor All claiming that it actually causes damage.
See here, I know the best about keeping any car clean.
when you clean the windows use "sprayaway" and just make sure you get some on the dash so you could wipe up the extra dust. Then go and get this stuff called "vinalx" not sure how to spell it but its made by "Lexol" for dash and plastic interoir parts(awsome) it is in a blue plastic spray bottle and the label is white...
Read the directions and go
have fun and look how nice it becomes when its clean and shinny (also smells like leather alittle)

Using window spray on vinyl or plastic is not a good idea. Glass cleaners are very abrasive (glass is actually quite tough) and can damage vinyl and plastic.

Found this when I asked the same question in the apearance forum. Sunblock=good. Lots of folks like it for waxing fiberglass boats too. Any of these type products will make the dash reflect into the wind screen on a bright day...

A damp cloth will wipe the dust and some of the dirt away, but it won't treat the dash to keep it from cracking.
Armor-All leaves an oily residue and a glossy shine, which IMO looks tacky (tacky as in tasteless, not tacky as in sticky). I hate it.
I use Zymol Vinyl to protect my dash. It leaves a nice satiny sheen, not very glossy, smells great. Great stuff (although not exactly inexpensive).

Neither does Zymol Vinyl. Here's what's in it: "Contains Lemon Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Sesame Oil, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil), Cocoamide, Lecithin and Xanthan Gum." I guess that's why it smells great.

I use black magic also. It did make the dash shinny on mine. When I first put it on it looked like it was spotting so I put it on thick then wipped it off. I wish that I would have left the matt look on it. Don't use armorall I think that it is alchol based it will crack your dash after I while. Look for something silicon based. I might switch to that honda cleaner. I wasn't aware that the made cleaning products.
hey TypeRmsm...what kind of look does the Vinyl/leather protect leave on your dash?
and it lasts. It has a somewhat shiny finish
I just use a damp towel. When your car sits in the sun after you apply the Armor-All, it all evaporates into the windshield and leaves a greasy film. Then it is imposible to get your windows clean...
I'm planning to buy the California Duster (same company of the California Water Blade)
Currently I use a chamois for the dash.

I second that; used the stuff on 2 ITR's and never had a problem works great!!!
I think Armor all isn't too bad.. I think there's better but I have a big bottle to go through. The shine goes away after a few days and it seems to be pretty good at repelling dirt and dust, maybe it's just me...
It does a good job on my door panels though. I don't know if this is normal but if I don't clean them in a while they start to get like, white-ish stuff on them, I have no idea what it is. Armor all takes care of it though.
