Mods: stock motor (z6), y8 trans, Exedy stage 1 clutch, Lightened flywheel, AEM CAI, some stupid *** throttle body spacer and dc 4-2-1 (one piece) stainless header. and tired pressure at 25psi.

shitty reaction time.... shitty 60ft. only got two runs in and we got rained out. wasn't really concentrating well because both times i ran i had to run against a prostreet chevy or some ****.... i can post the slip if anyone wants. not trying to brag here... just seeing what you have to say. so let me have it....

 

that's 1 second faster than my old 96 accord, ex auto

thats pretty fast. my friend with a 92 civic hb ran 15.9 all stock except for SRI. with the extra weight and also bein a 4dr..i think u did quite well.

 

oh yeah it was a 92 civic dx w/a mini-me swap = d16z6

 

Really, how much did you expect? Dump all the NA **** and boost it if you wanna get anywhere.

 

well we only got two runs... if i had a few more i could have easily gotten it down to 15.6s or .7s... all i had to do was get rid of the wheel hop and quick trying to chirp each gear (power shifting) .... but the wheel hop was my biggest problem.

 

So reaction time and 60 ft. needs to be improved upon.

 

well your r/t has nothing to do with your e/t, however, as for the wheel hop, you were just launching to high.

 

you need NOS

thats actually about right, same setup I had and I have your timeslips twin brother!
though I was running 36-38psi. in the tires(kuhmo 711's)

 

just get a 150shot of noss.

then call it a day.

now a 6k launch with dumping the clutch would just be mad wheel spin so i presume you feathered it a bit..... and you 60ft. is like 2.2 so if i can get mine down there i'd be in better shape....

i just dumped the clutch; this track was prepped REALLY well that day. It was super sticky! I was doing constant 2.0-2.2 60ft times. Tri-State Raceway is the name...maybe it was Tri-State Speeday...dragway? oh well...it's 110% better than Rockfalls for sure! 8)

 

Don't feel bad at all I ran a 93 hatch with a JDM B16 I/E/H and at Bandimere ran a 16.7 1/4 mile. Was kinda dissapointed, But to all you who are going to talk **** the track is at 5800ft altitude. A Mini me 6thgen with a junkyard turbo set up ran consistant 15's And a buddy of mine his wife runs 13.8 in a boosted ls Del sol dynoed at 250hp.

 

I have a 97 civic coupe ex (d16y8) my mods are dc 4-2-1 headers, greddy evo catback exhaust, aem long ram intake, better fuel pressure regulator, and a bigger throtle body. My lowest time on motor is a 17.6. I launch at about 3500 to 4000 is this time accurate? my reaction time is around .2-- something. Some people said my motors beat because i have nitrous hooked up. The engine has 129,800 miles on it. Just trying to see if this is a accurate time or should it be alot lower.

 

maybe check the timing, but i wouldnt be surprised a bit if this was a correct time

 

damn.... i got my 92 cx z6 dx tranny stock clutch with 13's to run a 15.38.. i cant find my timeslip but i remember i backed it up with a 15.51... its all about driving... i used to run 9.91's in the eigth with the dx tranny and stock clutch.. now i run a 10.23 with the ex tranny and act 2 clutch... the problem is no matter how low rpm i launch or how light i feather the clutch the damn tires spin
