? v-band clamps for turbo entry?
hey whats up guys
i got a question, i recently have been thinking in building my own manifold for my project!
now i saw that some sick race cars use v-band clamps instead of flanges w/ gaskets and fastners and was think of doin that to mine.
i know it will cost more and it might not be needed but i want to do alil something different.
the car that i saw it was used on which was a CART mani and maybe some sort of LeManns car too? but im guessin they had exhaust housings for that purpose now do turbo manufactures make housing in that option?
i know a good amount of turbos out there have normal flanges on the inlet for the turbo so maybe i might have to just make a transition peice which bolts to normal flange on inlet of turbo and then transitions to a v-band flange!
i know it may not be nessesary but hey would be cool tho and would provide quick disconect of the turbo and make life easier
has anybody tried this?
can anyone make me this piece if i need
another question while i go the space can anyone chime me in on how to use wiggin clamps (sp?)
i saw on Burns site sorta how it works but does anyone have pics of installing them? i know you have to weld something on the end to join them and then there is a o-ring i sorta got the picture but can someone clear it up a bit !
thanks for the space and for the help anyone can provide me

cause i know there the welding incole n (sp?) thread and he has a CART mani with one on there, and some other thread about bracing a turbo had a alfa v6 with v-band inlets also but again these are expensive and sick setup so....
