Turbo for 2500?Can it be done
You can customize your own kit for that amount, just buying the parts individually. But most of the kits that come complete are arounf $3000 and up
t-25 from 2gen dsm. 150$
dsm fuel pump 50$
dsm 2gen smic $50
dsm 1gen bov $40
exhuast mani fromsohc kit +labor to bore out to fitb series.. $400 ?
ic pipes, ???
downpipe???
misc. clamps and hose maybe 40 bucks?
I think you can for under 1000$ if you tried.

I can be done for even cheaper if you want to go ghetto with it. Check this site out. It's actually really cool what this guy did. HOMEMADE TURBO

what is your reason for not wanting the t25? you plan on boosting over 12psi or you plan on wanting longer spool time?
well with the 8500 redline (assuming you have a Type R) i would suggest a t3 or t3/t04. make sure you dont get a wimpy aspect ratio on the exhaust housing.
In my opinion (Been doing TONS of research on FI), cutting corners/expenses in a turbo build-up is the quickest route to broken motor/poor performance. I would think that 2500 would not be enough to build a functional, and "safe" turbo kit.
