Default b18a1 swap, orig parts--do i still need this?

so im swapping a b18a1 into a 90 crx hf. do i still need the intake tube or the intake filter box from the stock crx motor? not sure if it fits the ls motor or if it would fit an ls filter box, or if i need to get the ls tube, or should i get an aftermarket intake (metal one with a dipped filter?)

also, ive been told that for the swap, ill need to remove the dust boots on the steering knuckles. but ive also been told that the hf knuckles wont fit with this swap reguardless. do i need to get new knuckles, if so, which are compatible? if not, just remove the dust boots on the hf knuckles, and something on the teg axels? somebody please clear this up for me.. any webpages that show what part of the knuckles and axels that need to be removed?? any help appreciated. thanx. --noob jim

ok first off if you have an hf the intake tube from the hf will not fit your best bet is to buy a intake like an aem or what ever brand you want. the hubs on the hf will not work with the axels you need. you need to use dx or si knuckles. and as far as the dust boot goes on the dx or si knuckles i'm not sure but i do beleive you have to remove them to fit the teg axles in.

Thats what you need to remove on dx si hubs. Just pop it out with a screwdriver.

if i was to upgrade to the teg knuckles, would i still have to remove the dust boot from the knuckle, or would it fit fine with the teg axels? if i upgraded to teg knuckles, would i have to get teg calipers and brakes and all?

You wont have to remove the dust cover. Yes for the rest of your question. I just did the teg knukle/hub brake swap fri. It wasnt too bad and the brakes are noticeably better. Alignment is a little off though.
