Salvage ITR
Do you guys know which insurance companies insure salvage itr's. Also if it was to be stolen again do you think if I kept the proof of payment, that I would get the exact same amount of money back. Also If I get a salvaged one I plan to keep it.
Thank You
Thank You
I think just about ANY company will insure a ITR. Im making the assumption that there is NO difference in liability insurance b/w a RS integra and a ITR.
Are your wondering who will insure your car for the full value of a clean title ITR (collision & comprehensive)? I'd think you would have to have an appraiser look at your car and then you'd have to pay extra on TOP of what insuring a clean title ITR.
Then again im no insurance expert

My 1992 teg is a salvage after some dumb broad ran into us.
My insurance would cover me for liability, but not for comprehensive damages (e.g. break and enter, theft, etc.).
You'd better find out after you get the car what insurance is willing to do.

I have Allstate with no problems on a '98 Theft recovery ITR. Stolen in MD and relocated to BFE NC. Also forgot to mention that is for full coverage ie. comprehensive, collision, theft, fire, liability, and all the other good crap like uninsured motorist.

ok to better answer ur question, there's a thread goin around here about the same issue. This guy got his ITR stollen and Geico won't pay him full value because it was a salvage title. They said they're going to pay only 50% of the value of the car.
It's very different from having a clean car to salvage. I totalled 2 cars, one 98 gsr and one EK. State Farm gave me $2000 more for the teg and $1300 more for the EK. That is more than what I paid for

no, I think it's only $4500. ****** insurance companies man.
Plus, I don't think they'll pay for any mods. Just look in the type r forums for "Stollen R" or something, it should be a recent thread. You can see more info there.

Damn I was planning on getting one for college at San Diego State. I thought that if it got stolen that I wouldnt care because it was salvaged. But if I am gonna lose money like that i might have to replan. Thanks
