Default 95 integra......type r????

I have a 95 integra that had everything stolen from it

I have read alot of forums....I hear that going type r engine turboed is not that good. I want a type r turboed but they say it's to high compression...Should i get another gsr and turbo it again? I had a gsr with t3/toe4 garrett turbo pushing 10 psi. What is the best thing to do with my shell of a car. Money is/isnt' an option here. can't go to crazy but can spend some money. If anyone has good advice for best money/power plz reply to this. I want a turbo . If type r isn't the way to go I'd like to know...thanks everyone

Adam

Wrong forum. Try hybrid or FI.

Aso, the search function is your friend.

How about I sell you my turbo'd Type-R built engine with the turbo kit and everything you need to make it work for oh...say 10K and both your *********? Your local so we can do this in the morning.

Whoever told you that you cannot boost a stock compression R engine needs a good slap across the face and a swift boot to the nut sack. A good tune, small turbo and low boost = good (reliable) times.

BUT!!!...I'd try the hybrid forum.

If are a going to be doing a half decent turbo build up, you should replace the stock pistions with low compression forged ones anyway, along with other internals. This is if you want to go above 6 PSI or so....</TD></TR></TABLE>

if you replace the headgasket you can push up to probably 15 psi somewhat reliably...lots of piddily **** will break though.

i think it all comes down to how much your paying for the motor. if you get the type r motor for a very good price i would get the type r motor. if not i would stay with a gsr just because i dont think its worth it buying a type r motor so expensive when u can get a gsr and spend the extra money on internals
