Default How long has your turbo'd car lasted???

looking to turbo my car.

I want to know what the longest time that a turbo'd car has gone without ANY problems.

Tuned and built properly. How long has your car lasted?

My friend had a turbo CRX, but he kept complaining about too much HEAT, and it was cracking his manifold all the time??? either he didnt buy a good manifold, or there was too much heat.. i know he was running big boost on a fully built motor, but still.

Just would like to know..

Also, for those of you who have turbo'd you'r car... do u regret it and wish you just went all motor for reliability??

I think that PROPERLY built and TUNED car should last a long time if done right the first time.. Let me know..

40,000 miles on stock sleeves. So far 20K on fully built motor. The head went, but only due to my track use. The block is just fine...

stock block..tuned by jeff...driving for around 6 months not one problem motor wise.

about your question of regreting it at all....not at all. its a very satisfying upgrade and like you said, if done properly, you should have no problems.

just be prepaid for little things to pop up, and get used to checking your oil every time you get in the car

1+ years so far, and running strong. Over 20k miles on it? Drove 1000mile trips, here and there also.
