Toda doesn't want to sell me the car I won on Ebay..
I was the winning bidder on ebay for the Toda Type-R, but now they don't want to sell it to me. The guy is tellig me that Toda dosen't want to get a bad name if anything ever happens to the car. Since everyone knows it's a " TODA" Type-R. What should I do?

Thats total BS...I think they just don't want to sell it to you because you won it at a VERY good price.
Furthermore, tell them YOU CAN ruin their reputation (at least on eBay) by reporting their violation.

I think that this is the third time that they have done this...it appears that they are offering an item up for sale that they have no intention of selling, and are not following the guidelines setup by e-bay.
Take it up with e-bay.

Is TODA the actual people selling it? if now then TODA has no say in it. if they are the ones selling it let them know that the auction is a contract. and they can not break it. then tell them if they refuse to sell it to you you will notify eBay and your lawyer.
Well the guy said the car has a brand new rebuilt engine. He also said Toda want's to test a hondata system onthe car, this is another reason they don't want to sell it now.

I wouldnt sweat not getting that car so much.
It doesnt appear to be making that much power.

steve's right build your own motor, with that money make your car better. bitch and moan, but worst case senerio dont sweat it
Raise hell, dude. That's BS and they shouldn't have the option not to sell it if they didn't set a reserve. Contact e-Bay, a lawyer and make them sweat a little. That's not right!!!
Report it to Ebay, and make sure you send them the e-mails (keep copies) so they can ban the seller.
Also leave negative feedback.
Winning bid is a contract between the buyer and seller. If they wanted it to sell for more, they would set a reserve (which I believe they did before, and it never got met).

Yeah, when you win an auction on ebay that has met a reserve (if one was set), that is a legally binding contract. I imagine that you could take legal action on this one.
They can hold you to it, but you can't hold them to it.
"Q. What if the seller doesn't want to sell anymore?
A. Although this does not happen that frequently, since normally sellers are eager to sell their merchandise, it can be disappointing when it happens. Keep in mind that although eBay cannot "force" a seller to honor the final auction results, you as the bidder can and should leave appropriate feedback for the seller using the Feedback Forum.
Keep in mind that many people don't access their e-mail daily, so they may not be intentionally ignoring you if you don't hear from them. Use our user query form to get personal contact information."
