I no, sorry I just have to wait awhile and like to get an idea of how the type R compares. I have driven an 04 type s.

I'm not a big fan of the RSX. Kinda bulky and doesn't handle like the R at all

Does it feel as fast in the straight line?

Haven driven an 05 and an 02 RSX-S, I will say the 05 feels MUCH better. Very responsive, even with the crappy oem tires. I still perfer the rawness of the R though. The R "feels" faster but on paper at least they should be very similar.

I THNIK the R is fast, at least than the 02-04. Basically, the RSX has a stiffer chassis but the lack of wishbones makes many people think the R handles better. RSX doesn't have an LSD either. The RSX's engine is more refined, I prefer the rawness of the R.

There's already a race vid with 2 DC5-R's and 2 DC2-R's on a track. The 2 DC2-Rs killed the DC5-Rs after i believe 3 laps. So, comparing the DC2R to an rsx-s, its safe to safe the R is better when it comes to handeling. vtec engagement feels better in the R although is smoother in the S because of iVTEC. Power band should be smoother in the S because of, again, the iVTEC technology.

Someone should post a link of that vid.

Care to elaborate on that one? THe K-series blows away the old B series motors.

If the K-series is so much better why does the old Type R beat the new Type R in Japan? I mean not that I don't beleive you because on paper the K-series should be better but in reality they really havn't proved it.

they're both slow in a straight line.. end of story.. but don't take this the wrong way.. fun cars whichever one you choose, if you want more updated looks and a new car, go for rsx, if you like integras, then get type r.

I believe the DC2's had more modifications than the DC5's. They weren't stock cars, so that comparo means jack chet.

Just because the crossover hits harder does'nt mean its better, that simply means its less balanced. A smoother transition would mean better acceleration. That is something the new i-Vtec has accomplished.

Smooth is better for performance but I like the feel of the drastic switch.

K20A>K20A2>B18C5 is I think what you meant

-Only because everyone prefers the suspension design of the DC2's over the DC5's. Engine wise, though, the DC5's take it.

They were club racers......and had to be pretty comparable in specs. Everything except weight i'm sure. The "comparo" means something untill you prove otherwise.
