My 89 dx civic hatch got broken into last night and they busted the driver side window out. I have a front driver side window from an 88 crx hf. I was wondering if it would work? if so, it would save me a bunch of headaches and money. I'm away from my house so i can't tell if the window looks the same. let me know if you guys know anythign about this.

They are not the same. The CRX window glass is not as tall and requires a slightly different front rail even though the regulator fits both types. You need to call a company like Autolite and they will hook you up.

I did the same with my driver side door, and I learned the hard way that they are not compatible. The regulators to a point are compatable between hatches and CRX, but the CRX glass is about an inch too short to work with a hatch, as well as the upper rear portion being slightly curved. It wouldn't have worked at all.
