Default Greasin' up my axles

It turns out that I need a passenger side and drivers side cv boot and I was wondering whats the best way to regrease my axles if I can't afford to replace the boots? Can I just go get some axle grease from autozone and grease the axle from where the cv boot is ripped? Any help is appreciated

You should replace the boot, not just stick more grease in through the rip.

I've replaced boots before & it is an absolute pain. It's easier and much less time consuming just to buy new axles. They aren't very expensive and it saves you a lot of time (time is $).

Of course I would do that if I had the cash.... Right now i'm looking for someway to make sure my axles don't bite the dust (if they haven't already) until I can have the money to fix it. Does anyone know of a way to regrease teh axles?

If you're just trying to get by then just buy some grease, put it in through the cracks (grease gun would make it easy), then depending on how big the cracks are use zip ties or something (maybe a good flexible glue) to try and close the cracks as needed.

P.S. I have a pair of H22 axles (not sure what motor you've got) with near perfect boots that I'd be willing to sell for $90 shipped if you want them.

temporary fix would be to do what you mentioned but not recommended. But it may be ok for a while.

FYI: H23 axles and H22 axles are interchangable, assuming they're both 4th gen axles.

Temporary fix? Go to Autozone and get a can of Valvoline's multi-purpose grease. It is labelled as being fine for import automotive axles. IIRC, it's in a blue/purple/silver can.

Stuff a crapload of grease into the boot without making the tear worse. Then, take a bunch of duct tape and wrap that sucker like your jimmy when gettin with a cheap asian hooker......

Cheap? Yes. Ghetto? Yes. But that's what you asked for.
