Default need help...

I have a 93 Lude Si. I was thinking about rebuild my h23 and turbo charge it or buy a JDM 22 and do the internals and leave it all motor. What should I do? What's easier? I'm from Norfolk and I'm looking for people who can help me out.
Thanks for your help guys.

Remember this - forced induction is ALWAYS easier.

Why? Because its just hard/and expensive as hell to get good power out of an all motor setup - however, many people on this site have done it. If you have the time/money/and patience - do all motor. Otherwise, do FI - and you'll love the power gains.

Each way is expensive......but with FI you'll end up with more power.

Should I keep my 23 or should I go for a JDM 22?
Thanx

If there's nothing wrong with the H23, I would stick with that. No reason to change something that works! In the end though, it's your decision.

i think itll be cheaper to rebuild the h23 and boost it ... plus youll know that you did a gud job at it.. if you'll buy a used JDM h22 you dont know who was beattin the shizz out of it plus you HAVE to do a lot of work/put much money into it, to get that extra power feel.... but hey thats me.

gud luk

I think the same way but what about the VTEC? I can get more HP with the 22. I know the 23 has lower comp so it'll be better for forced ind. but what about those extra ponies with the 22?

I think I'm going for the 23 but it's kinda hard to find all the aftermarket internals for it. I want to do the whole thing. Block and head. Any suggestions?

Yeah - stick with the h23 if there's nothing wrong with it. There are internals for it. You just have to shop around. I just added a list of parts distributors.....also, contact precisionh23a(av-engineered.com) - look at the preludes they have there - h23 motor inside.......great hp numbers.

If you think about it this way, the h22 won't have "more" hp per se because when boosting, you have to lower compression anyway.......so it won't be that big of a deal. It's all about the application and tuning....

Good luck with your build - remember it takes patience.....unless you have the cheese for it RIGHT now, it'll take a while. Hopefully, mine can be done by mid summer next year......just have to wait. Get quality products and you'll be happy.

If you get cheap things - it won't work out.......
Keep doing research, and stay on this site searching - there is TON of information here.......
