Bike Rack on a Del Sol? DIY info requested :D :D :D
Sup guys, I just bought a bike and now I need to get a bike rack
I'm thinking that a trunk mounted bike rack is probably my only option with the unusual roof configuration of the Del Sol, but has anybody here been able to pull off the roof mounted bike rack on the Del Sol? I'm thinking front fork on the roof, rear wheel on the trunk lid type of thing...
Looking at Thules website and other bike rack manufacturers is just too friggin confusing for a beginner like me... I'd definately do it if I had some input from someone who has done it before.
K lemme know, thanks guys.

unless you make a custom rack, the only option you have is a trailer hitch mounted rack, or the truck mounted rack. My bike shops sells saris racks, and i know for a fact they make racks that will fit a del sol. our other brand is yakima, whom you would have to call to see if their racks would fit properly. Trailer hitch racks would give you the convience of getting into the trunk even when bikes are on, so you can remove your targa top and access it easily if it starts to rain or something.
this might sounds funny, but have you thought about looking into a hitch mounted rack? you can get a hidden hitch class1 that you would never notice and then just use a hitchmounted rack. after extended periods ou use you could develop wear spots and or scratches with that trunk mounted stuff. just a thought.
I just fully read the above post but I'm still sticking to my idea, even if its not original anymore.
