haha, they're lights that people usually hook up to turn on with thier corners, very dim, u dont need to hook em up, only if u want, and yes there is a hole for sockets plus blubs for u to wire em

u don't need them but if u want it and ur ctr headlights comes with nothing u'll need... 168 (wedge) bulbs, with corresponding sockets that will plug into the hole already in ur headlights, and wiring...which is most commonly hooked up to turn on with the corner bulbs
and ur stock headlights/corners bulbs & sockets can be used on the ctr's

For you folks not in Japan they serve a purpose. In Japan it is customary to dim your lights when at a red light. <Whether you are the first car, or in the middle> It makes a huge difference when delivery trucks, or just vehicles of different heights get behind you. It takes a lot of strain off your eyes. Granted it does look cool, but they do serve a functional purpose over here!

they're just 194 bulb in the headlight housing. many cars in the states have them stock. lexus gs, sc, 97+ honda prelude, etc.
USDM 96+ headlights have the area for it. you just need to drill and pop in any 194 bulb socket.
bulbs are attached to running lights.
