Im looking at a 1991 Crx si, 5 speed, sunroof, 4 wheel disc, sony xplod head unit,a cold air, and 197 k miles , do you guys think that 2300.00 is too much for a car with such high miles?

 

Maybe 1500 if no rust

 

yeah, its all about the body- If the body is in pristene condition, than maybe like 2100. If the interior and exterior are breath-takingly fantastic, than id pay 2300. after all, thats a bunch of miles, and we all know too well that these cars eat up parts at their age.

 

Well if it helps matters at all, hes throwing in the big si wing, altezzas, and projectors with it. The interior is almost perfect, and the door doesnt even have the pop when you open it. Im thinkin hard about it. Its the yellow that came on rexes, and I plan to (assuming I get it) Repaint with the same color and either paint to look like carbon fiber or buy a carbon fiber hatch and hood. I like the car, and there isnt any rust, but i just dont like the milage being that high, because i dont know how well those miles were spent...

 

take it for a test drive...
make sure it run smooth... (shocks/springs/driveshaft/tires/etc.) with that much you better make sure all those are still good.

 

im going to drive it tomorrow. What all should i look for? I know obvious sounds, tread wear, shock travel, and to go up and down in the gears hard to make sure it isnt gonna jump outta gear on me, smoking, and what else?
