ok heres my problem....i got in my car started right up...i drove to my friends starter right back up....but when i got to my dads right before work it wouldnt start...it made a sounds like a gear wouldnt go in.....so after i clutch start it twice and got back home after work.....i took it off and took it to orellys to replace it (lifetime thing).they said the starter was fine it was prob my flywheel has a chip in it somewhere.....didnt sound right to me.anyway i forgot to say that when i got home from work i turned it off and try to start it again....it made that bad grinding sound again but started up.....u guys have any clue on what it could be?????/

Make sure your starter mounting bolts are nice and tight. Might as well check your starter connections as well as your grounds also, good luck.

You can also pull the inspection plate from under the car and look at all the flywheel teeth for damage.
