D16Z6 help and a little info
hey guys i am in the middle of getting a new igniter(ignition module) for my '91 std hatch with a z6 in it... i work at advance auto parts and when i went into work today it listed two different ones in the computer... one with 2 mounting holes and one with 3... the one i took out of my dizzy had 3 mounting holes so apparently thats the one that i need to get... my only problem is that it costs $212 when the one with 2 mounting holes costs $64... whats the difference between them other than the number of mounting holes and can i use the one with 2 mounting holes in my car? another question... when i was looking in the dizzy i noticed that there was a magnet in there... i believe its called a heat sink but im not sure... what is it for? thanks a lot for all of the help and info guys

Buy a rebuilt dizzy, it's cheaper in the long run. Trust me. I've owned a 92Si since I bought it new in 1992. Buy a rebuilt dizzy.
First my ignitor went. We installed a new one, next the coil went and took the ignitor with it. Then we put a rebuilt dizzy in.
