I asked on the 19th and there was no reply.
I know that lots of people have bought cars shipped to there house, but I want to know if it really works they way you want to. Will it be an easy process? Will I trust the car owner?
Anyone bought a car this way before?

You're in CA so that will make it more difficult...depending on what model/year car you buy and whether or not you have state officials paid off. You will probably have big problems with the Air Resources Board if it isn't CA/50 state approved emissions and Revenue will probably want CA taxes paid on the vehicle. This is going to surface most often on newer cars. Older cars that pre-date the smog/emissions restrictions shouldn't have to deal with these issues.

My 93 came from out of state- Minnesota to be exact, and I had no issues with registration.
The car was in California at the time of purchase, so I was able to drive it beforehand, but it was still registered in Minnesota, smog and VIN check and it is now a Cali car.
If you do go this route also be sure to choose the state carefully that it comes from, lets just say I have ALOT of rust issues to work out.
