dont do it the hiper's piping is the same size as your stock type r exhaust, your not going to get any power at all, just goin to make some noise, and have to remove your tie bar

Apex N1!!! U will need to remove the rear sway bar bushing bolts only. Let it drop down to get the axle back section on & then bolt it right back.

The diff is that the HKS piping is mandrel bent all the way back, so you will probably gain power. BTW I had the Hiper system on my car and didn't remove the lower bar, but I had to clamp on a piece of silicone to the pipe to keep it from making noise when it rubbed..

Go with the Apexi N1. I have never been very happy with HKS exhaust products. Heck, I still have an HKS b-pipe gathering dust in my attic.

so is stock type r piping, have you ever looked at a stock type r exhaust its a very nice exhaust, alot of people just buy the smsp bottle neck remover piece and keep there stock exhaust, thev been proving to not restrict power to like 185-190whp

Best pic I have of the rear (for now)...looks just like a regular Magnaflow muffler

Sounds deep, not raspy...loud, but not obnoxious. Very nice product!

EDIT:

new pic:

I'd think w/ mine not having a cat & being S/C'd the 3" piping would be loud as crap! Am I wrong?

Fitment is wonderful. Car is turbocharged, and there's no cat. piping fits great with minimal bends. Very nice piece of work. It's not loud...well, not at all loud compared to running open downpipe. It's louder than stock, obviously, but it's not annoyingly loud. I drove from mid-MI to Indiana without stopping...still can hear perfectly

I once had a Suzuki Swift GT, Header-str8 pipe & a Flowmaster muffler. Drive 10 mi on the freeway & U were deaf for 30 to 45 min! LOL! The reason I asked U about the volume is as U know on the S/C'd car it flows alot more air than stock w/ no sound dampening affect like the turbo does. I've been told the R&D is way freak'n loud on the S/C'd set up. But I don't know for sure. Thank U for your reply.

I have a Hi-power on my si, and i love it, fitment is great. I have had it for a year now, no problems. My car is kinda low, and even with the pipping going under the lca it does not scrap. So for fitment, quality, and sound it gets
O and a note, it is the best sounding honda exhaust I have ever heard, it gets so many damn compliments it's crazy, even from some cops...

Just re-installed my exhaust today...took less than 30 minutes in total...nothing to take apart, just jack the car up so the suspension has no weight on it.

New pics of exhaust (really wish my batteries weren't dying...pics would have turned out better):

My girls' itr has a vortech blower and 3" kamikaze header, straight pipe, and 3" thermal exhaust.

It is the loudest ******* car!!!

I hear you can get some sort of "stealth" mod done to the thermal exhausts so they aren't as loud, but whatever... nothing will make this bitch quiet!!!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forgive me for ROFL!!!!!!! But I can't imagine the volume of that thing! The reason it's so funny to me is when I go to the strip on Fridays, some of the "old farts" hate my car cause it may not be the fastest thing out there but U can hear 8500 screaming RPM's over most any open header V8's! What so strange is the grumpy old men are a bunch of white guys. The older black gentlemen think it's a trip. One of them told me when they were trying to talk to each other (the old farts) I'd make a pass down the 1320 & one of them said, "I wish he'd blow dat sum-b$@ch up!!! Man I laf'd so hard I though I'd puke!
