How much to charge?
Ok i only build my car i never work on other people's car other then helping my friends. I just got a phone call from a friends who has a friend with a 92 h23 lude. he wants me to put a t-bo kit on for him. i dont now how much to charge him any sug. ????
You're gonna have to figure our how much your time is work. I have never charged for my labor on friends cars (although I have got plenty of free beer) but if you're gonna be puttin in a lot of time I would just charge him a flat rate so you don't get into a dispute as to how much time it takes.
see its not a friends car its a friends friend so thats why im goin to charge him. ya know aht im saying. my friends and i usually just do it together but this is some kid i dont know at all.
haha yes he wants to know i said like a 100 bucks, i do everything my self motor swap my self and head work my self and my car is perfect now im doin my own turbo my self after the winter project is done. he sees what i can do so....

$100 is cheap. make sure you know exactly what he has before you give him a rate. if its a premade kit that you just have to put everything on and everthing is for the most part already pre fitted then its gonna be a lot different than if you are gonna have to do a lot of fitting and cutting and all that stuff.
I would call the dealer and find out the labor on getting something like that done, then base your decision off that. Maybe even half!!!!
It's one thing to help a friend, but when you start hooking up there friends, they will bring more and more people. I would charge half of what the dealer would charge.....

I would have to say figure on 7-10 hours work time, based on my past experience.
You should consider that my father wasn't rich enough to send me to MSU, but consider that my knowledge is from over 20 years of working on hondas.
Don't worry about ASE certifications because 90% of ASE questions deal with the 'big3' and 10% of the test deals with 'pacific rim'. Maybe that could be a college course, for uneducated people with rich daddys. "How to pass ASE tests 101 class". LMAO
