Default 92 prelude

the got the base 92 prelude and someone was telling me that instead of doing a h22a swap i should just put the h22 head on my f22 and turbo charging it
i was wondering if anyone could give me any advise if this is a good idea or not
thanks

Just turbo the F22 and call it a day.

I agree.

Welcome to the site. Search this and other Prelude forums for turbo/swap advice. You can IM me if you need some site names.

u cant put and h22 head on an f22 because h22 is dohc and f22 is sohc u have only 3 ways to do nething for that car i just bought a 91 si prelude it has a b20 a5 in it so ur only chances for it is build and turbo the f22 or swap to an h22 itll cost bout 5 grand for the complete swap and labor if u order it from japan direct one of my friends just did a jdm h22 or thats ur only choices

What the hell are you babbling about? You can put an H22 head on an F22. It ain't cheap or easy, but it is possible. You're new, don't be an expert...we have plenty of those.

BTW. Punctuation is a wonderful thing...just like grammar

Absolutely. Do the best with what you've got before changing things up. F22 turbo is a helluva lot cheaper than F22/H22 conversion or H22 swap. And fun, too.

IMHO, no.

Just turbo the F22 and call it. It's a great setup.

i have heard of people putting the h23 head on the f22 and turboing the motor. you need some of the same things that the h22 head swap calls for but there is less to change out in the long run. then you can turbo that and have a DOHC turbo instead of a SOHC turbo. just thought i would mention that.
